20th Anniversary of OUTPUT & LNdW 2026
The ixlab team once again presented exciting projects at the Long Night of Science (LNdW) and the faculty's own OUTPUT event.
At OUTPUT & LNdW, we presented a new engaging multiuser XR demo that combines a sophisticated boid simulation with the fear of heights demo of 2024. Combined, they make up a parcours for visitors.
Also shown were the newest developments from our ANIMA (Animating Mobile Artefacts) project, showcasing a new approach to XR Gaussian splat rendering and their approach to bringing cultural heritage to life.
Also shown was 'floʊːz the interactive and reactive artefact made by kazoosh! and IXLab that works through the modulation of speakers and thus shapes sand while falling.
As always, we enjoyed the conversations with visitors about our research and its background.
Many thanks to everyone who made these events possible, and to our fantastic team who worked together to make them happen!
Could not attend either event?
No worries – come back next year – we will be around!
