High School Students Learn About XR in Anxiety Therapy
Exploring the Future of Anxiety Therapy with Virtual Reality
Last week, we participated in an event in Dresden where the Else Kröner Fellows—high school students from the Roland Berger Foundation’s German Student Scholarship—learned about the latest advancements in medical technology.
In our sessions, Nathalie Senechal and Mücella Cetinkaya introduced the students to the use of virtual reality (VR) technology for possible anxiety therapy applications. They guided them through selected scenarios, where the students could experience first hand how immersive environments can be used to help in therapeutic contexts.
The four-day event featured a mix of lectures, practical training, and interactive sessions, providing the fellows with a comprehensive view of modern medical practices and technologies. Our focus on VR for anxiety therapy demonstrated the potential of innovative technology in the field of mental health.
