Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mirko Conrad serves as CTO of samoconsult GmbH, a Berlin based independent consulting firm, which advises companies across industries in the implementation of safety standards and the improvement of their software engineering processes. He holds a PhD in engineering and an MSc in computer science from Technical University Berlin, Germany.
He is deputy spokesperson of the steering committee of the Automotive Software Engineering working group and technical expert on the steering committee of the Software Engineering technical committee of the German Informatics Society (GI).
Mirko Conrad actively participated or participates in the standardization of ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), ISO 21448 (Safety of the Intended Functionality, SOTIF), ISO TS 5083 (Safety for Automated Driving Systems), ISO PAS 8800 (Safety and Artificial Intelligence), DO-178C), and various MISRA guidelines.
Prof. Conrad lectures on automotive software engineering and functional safety topics at TU Dresden and TU München.
