Institute of Software and Multimedia Technology
In teaching and research, the Institute of Software and Multimedia Technology (SMT) deals with essential aspects of the design, realization and use of complex, especially multimedia application systems. In a world of digitalization, software is ubiquitous and must be flexible, adaptable, capable and user-friendly. The research spectrum therefore includes topics such as automated software development, composite web applications, visual computing, interaction design, visualization, human-technology interaction and computer science didactics. The Institute makes significant contributions to the Media Computer Science, Computer Science and Information Systems Engineering degree programs and coordinates the teacher training program.
The Institute SMT has 5 Chairs and 2 Honorary Chairs. A total of around 80 people work at the Institute.
