Study regulations
The study regulations are the legal basis of your studies. They regulate the requirements and the course of study in the respective degree program and are published in the official announcements of TU Dresden.
The regulations contain
- in addition to the actual text of the statutes
- the module descriptions, which define the structural and content-related details (competencies to be acquired, forms of teaching and learning, the examination(s) to be completed for the successful completion of a module, etc.) of the modules to be completed as part of the degree program, as well as
- the study schedule, i.e. a recommendation as to which modules should be completed in which semester so that the course can be completed within the standard period of study.

Examination regulations
To successfully complete your studies, you must pass the examinations specified in the module descriptions. The examination regulations set out the framework conditions for this and regulate, for example, the various types of examinations, registration for examinations, crediting of extracurricular achievements, registration, form and preparation of the final thesis and the issuing of final documents. The examination regulations are also published in the official announcements of TU Dresden.
