Internship Report: Confidential Computing at T-Systems MMS

Confidential Computing technologies like Intel SGX and AMD-SEV-SNP can facilitate cloud usage for application domains that involve processing sensitive data through data-in-use encryption. To reuse existing applications on SGX platforms, different porting approaches can be applied: application partitioning into trusted and untrusted part, library OS, and shielding layer. During my internship at Multimedia Solutions GmbH, I helped assess and work with SEV in the context of Azure CVMs and MAA, as well as SGX using OpenEnclave SDK and SCONE.
