There are currently ongoing efforts to integrate the Rust programming language
into the Linux kernel. I am going to present the reasons for trying to integrate
Rust into the kernel, the current progress and a benchmark of an NVMe driver comparing
C and Rust. Furthermore, an assessment and a conclusion is given at the end.
