Jeannine and her team win the first-place at Telekom's A.I. hackathon
Our Jeannine participated in Deutsche Telekom's #AIHack4Diversity hackathon in Berlin last month. The purpose of the hackathon was to: a) encourage the innovative use of A.I. technologies in the context of distributed networked systems & cloud environments, and b) to promote diversity in the area of A.I. technologies. In total, 7 teams participated in the hackathon and competed against each other. Each team included 6-7 members with different backgrounds, nationalities, ages, genders, education, ... etc). Three students from the chair participated and joined different teams: Jeannine Born, Jonathan Justavino Lüderitz, and Nico Westerbeck. After a lot of hard work, Jeannine & Jonathan's team was able to score the first prize worth 5.000 EUR. In addition, Nico's team followed closely at the second place scoring a prize worth 3.000 EUR. Both Jeannine and Nico were advised by Amr Osman during part of their work at the chair. Amr continues his work with Jeannine on the dynamic network security in microservice-based edge clouds and foresees even more success for everyone involved. Congratulations!
