Longitudinal Study about Social Media Usage
The latest update to our longitudinal study of the social media usage in Germany shows that Twitter has lost relevance in the German market completely, Google Plus remains on previous levels in their niche, whereas Facebook now has a market share of 94% with respect to news recommendations. "Bild" and "Focus online" now attract the highest numbers of social media recommendations for their articles, where "Spiegel online" has lost one rank and now comes in third. A noteworthy observation is that the recommended articles were much more political, and had a much more negative tone than in previous years (the current press release is available here).
