Mobile Sensing Lab -- Summer semester 2015
This lab course deals with cutting-edge projects in the areas of wireless sensor networks, mobile sensing systems, and cyber-physical systems. The course provides a general overview of these systems as well as insights into specific topics. The topics are selected according to the specific working areas of the participating researchers and convey technical and basic scientific competences in one or more of the following fields:
- Applications of wireless sensor networks and mobile sensing systems
- Protocols for ad hoc networks / sensor networks
- Performance evaluation of protocols for wireless sensor networks
- Infrastructure support for mobile sensing systems
- Participatory and opportunistic sensing using mobile phones
- Integration of sensor networks with the Internet and the Web
- Analysis of large data sets in the context of predicting human mobility, monitoring networks, or smart energy
