From June 14 to 17, 2016 the European Forum for Reciprocating Compressors e. V. (EFRC) invited students from all over Europe to the 9th EFRC Student Workshop – a 4-days excursion to companies in Germany and Switzerland related to reciprocating compressor technology.

The visited manufacturers Mehrer Compression AG (Balingen, GER) and Burckhardt Compression AG (Wintherhur, CH) as well as the compressors operators Lonza AG (Visp, CH) and the brewery Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus AG (Grafenhausen-Rothaus, GER) offered a great insight and valuable first-hand knowledge to all participants.

The Bitzer Chair of Refrigeration, Cryogenics and Compressor Technology (Bitzer-Professur für Kälte-, Kryo- und Kompressorentechnik) is pleased to contribute to this outstanding possibility by co-organizing the workshop and by accompanying the excursion as well as by preparing the workshop’s homework.

The best three solutions to the homework tasks will win attractive prices including the participation in the 10th EFRC Conference in September 2016.
