Study at the Institute of Power Engineering
At the Institute of Power Engineering, the student has access to a wide range of courses covering a multitude of subjects, accompanied by an excellent infrastructure.
What can one study at the Institute of Power Engineering?
During the course
During the first four semesters, you will develop a solid basic understanding of a wide range of topics. The main course following on from this provides a more in-depth look at the following specialisations in the areas of thermomechanics and fluid mechanics:
- Power Machinery
- Refrigeration and Plant Engineering
- Nuclear Power Engineering
- Thermal Engineering
- Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer
The submission of a dissertation during the 10th semester marks the end of the course in power engineering, which is integrated into the Mechanical Engineering study programme.
After the course
The market has plenty of opportunities to offer to those who successfully complete the course. Potential main areas of application include work in conventional power plants, municipal utility companies, companies operating in the refrigeration and cryotechnology sector, and for manufacturers of thermal engineering systems and systems for the use of renewable energy sources.
