The Institute of Manufacturing IF is formed by the merger of six professorships. The IF covers all manufacturing processes and techniques classified according to DIN. This enables interdisciplinary research and a very broad education to be offered, incorporating the latest developments.

Production engineering on all sides

At the IF, the fundamentals of the most important areas of manufacturing technology are investigated and developed and the corresponding manufacturing processes are further developed. Manufacturing technology includes not only the processes, but also the devices and systems used for production, which are constantly being developed further at the institute.
