Rolf-Umbach Prize 2025 for student work at the FF

Tom Kretzschmar (2nd from right) was awarded the Dr. Rolf Umbach Prize in the category for student work for his project work in the practical module "Design and construction of a forging die with regard to wear resistance and resource efficiency".

The prize recognizes innovative achievements by early-career researchers in the field of forming technology. The prize is endowed with €600.

The award ceremony took place at the MEFORM in conjunction with the 30th Saxon Symposium for Forming Technology on March 20, 2025 and was conducted by Prof. Ulrich Prahl.
