10th VDI/ VDE Conference on Bolting Technology in the course of time 2025

From June 24 to 25, 2025, the 10th VDI Symposium on Bolting Technology in Changing Times took place in Würzburg. At this event, there was a lively exchange with experts and users on the topics of the circular economy, digitalization and qualification in screwdriving technology.

Our colleague Tim Hertzschuch had the opportunity to present his lecture entitled "Machine learning in screwdriving assembly - case studies". In this paper, we investigated the accuracy of clamping force prediction using torque-angle data recorded during the bolting process and the detection of anomalous curves.

It was an exciting experience to share our research results with peers, have valuable discussions and gain new impulses for the further development of the field.
