The Chair of Joining Technology and Assembly always issues and supervises topics for the preparation of student research projects, project theses and dissertations (Bachelor's, Master's and Diploma theses). Here you will find the guidelines for the preparation of such theses as well as our current offers. You can also find current job offers and internships in our OPAL course

You can find our current calls for student research projects and theses as well as job opportunities in our OPAL course. There you can register for an interesting topic. The person responsible will then get in touch with you.

Information on the preparation of theses

• Information on the preparation of theses (interdisciplinary project work, major thesis, diploma thesis) is summarized in a guideline. Details must be discussed with the supervisor.
• The following templates can also be used:

  • Microsoft Word (from 2007)

  • Latex

• All theses (project work for the specialist internship, project work for the research internship, student research project) must be defended in the same way as the diploma thesis. A presentation lasting 20 minutes must be given. The following template must be used for the presentation in accordance with the TU Dresden corporate design. [Powerpoint template]
• All theses (project work for the specialist internship, project work for the research internship, student research project, diploma thesis) must be submitted as an electronic version (in consultation with the supervisor as a PDF or editable version) in addition to the two printed copies.
• The diploma thesis is submitted directly to the Examination Office, all other theses are submitted to the secretary's office.

Important

Thesis topics from industry can be supervised after consultation between the industry contact person and the TU Dresden contact person, if no competing confidentiality agreements prevent this and there is an interest in cooperation between the Chair and the industrial company.
