Doctoral students of TU Dresden win prizes at international laser conference
Stephan Milles, Christian Bischoff and Sabri Alamri, PhD students at the Chair of Large Area Laser Based Surface Structuring (Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andrés Lasagni), were awarded for the best student conference contributions at the 21st international symposium "Laser Precision Microfabrication 2020".
The Laser Conference took place from 24-26 June 2020 digitally. The winners were selected at the end of the event by online voting of the 216 participants. In the category 'best student poster' Stephan Milles won with his paper: "Wetting properties of the aluminium surface structures fabricated using Direct Laser Interference Patterning with picosecond and femtosecond pulses" and Christian Bischoff: "Homogeneous intensity within the Rayleigh length and enhanced depth of focus for Gaussian beams". Sabri Alamri convinced with his lecture: "Direct and indirect glass texturing employing interference-based methods” in the category 'best oral presentation'.
