Scientist from the Technische Universität Dresden and the Fraunhofer IWS have developed a method for the fabrication of micro and nanometer structured seamless sleeves in a one-step process. The achieved results represent a new world record in the scientific community. The processed sleeves (cylinders) can be used for roll-to-roll processing of foils, allowing to transfer the texture of the sleeve to this materials and thus to enhance different surface functions.
