The Chair of Laser and Surface Technology is headed by Prof. Andrés Lasagni on an interim basis. The laser topic are now totally represented by the Chair of Laser-based Manufacturing  (https://tu-dresden.de/ing/maschinenwesen/if/lmo)

The Chair of Laser and Surface Technology was directed until 2018 by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Eckhard Beyer
