Education for computer science
The subject Production Engineering and Automated Production is offered as a minor subject for Computer Science and/or Media Computer Science.
Contents:
Today, the production of goods is no longer conceivable without information processing. It offers very good development opportunities for computer scientists / Media Computer Science specialists in connection with production technology and automated production.
Basic knowledge of production technology processes and systems is necessary for the development of software (CAx systems, databases, multimedia applications, intelligent systems). Using product examples from vehicle, aircraft, appliance and mechanical engineering, selected manufacturing processes as well as the necessary machines, equipment (tools, robots, etc.) and systems with their control systems are presented. An extensive test field is available for this purpose. In addition to knowledge of process chains in automated parts production and assembly, the necessary steps in work preparation and process planning for automated production facilities are explained and deepened in exercises/practicals. Excursions to various manufacturing companies round off the course.
The minor course runs over 4 semesters, divided into a
- basic module (INF-D-510) and a
- specialization module (INF-D-920).
Basic module (INF-D-510) with 7LP:
Semester | Subject | Scope |
---|---|---|
1st WS (Fundamentals | Production engineering (together with mechatronics and industrial engineering students) | 2/0/0 |
1st SS (Fundamentals) | Practical course in production engineering | 0/0/3 |
Specialization module (INF-D-920) with 15 CP: (from WS2020/21)
Semester | Subject | Scope |
---|---|---|
2nd WS (specialization) | Production Planning | 2/1/0 |
2nd WS (specialization) | Handling and robot technology | 2/1/0 |
2nd WS (specialization) | Assembly technology and systems | 1/1/0 |
2nd SS (specialization) | Production planning - parts production | 1/1/0 |
2nd SS (specialization) | Production informatics | 1/0/0 |
2nd SS (specialization) | Computing practical course | 0/0/3 |
