Final event of the LRVTwin project

The final event of the mFUND project LRVTwin will take place on 25.06.2025 at 9 am. Participation is free of charge and possible without registration via Microsoft Teams. More information can be found here.

In the LRVTwin project, the digitalization of streetcar fleets was driven forward. For this purpose, exemplary failure-relevant components were selected and monitored using measurement technology. The focus is on the polygonization of the wheels, the thermal fatigue of the power converter assembly and the door opening mechanism, among other things. Using signal processing, model-based description and machine learning methods, a digital twin of the fleets of the Leipzig and Dresden transport companies was created. This made it possible to derive findings for optimized maintenance of the railroads and for extending the service life of individual components. The event presents the project content using selected results and offers the opportunity for discussion between all participants.
