Dresden Science Night 2026
The Dresden Science Night will take place again this year on June 26. The Chair of Dynamics and Mechanism Design will be represented with two contributions at the Johannstadt campus.
In the foyer of Marschnerstraße 30 (MAR 30), the chair will be presenting prototypes under the title Spannende Seile: Wenn Roboter die Strippen ziehen prototypes and projects from the world of cable-driven robotics. An interactive set-up invites you to become active yourself: Put yourself in the role of a robot and master tasks alone or in a team. An experience for young and old that makes it possible to experience technology in a playful way and shows how cable-driven robots work.
In the Chair's drone laboratory, in the hall next door, the exhibition is entitled Handwerk in der Schwebe: Flugroboter mit Fingerspitzengefühl and focuses on assembly and repair tasks at great heights that could be carried out by flying robots in the future. Live experiments from current research will be demonstrated and it will be shown what makes fully-actuated flying robots so special.
