Visit to the CircEcon Campus in the Schwarze Pumpe Industrial Park
Der zukünftige Hallenbereich im Hintergrund benötigt noch schweres Baugerät
At the beginning of February, representatives from our Chair visited the construction site of the CircEcon hall at Schwarze Pumpe Industrial Park. Since the foundation stone was laid in late spring 2025, the site has developed with impressive speed into a building of considerable size.
We were able to get a comprehensive picture of the construction progress on site - including in the hall area intended for the Chair of Chemical Process Engineering. Although this is currently the only section without a roof, we were assured that this area will also be closed as soon as the supply shaft is installed.
Der farbige Eingangsbereich des CircEcon-Gebäudes ist schon gut zu erkennen.
The remaining hall areas, which will be used by the TU Bergakademie Freiberg, the TU Chemnitz and the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, already give the impression of being completed on schedule. Construction work is well advanced, particularly in the laboratory areas.
Continuous planning and implementation are creating the basis for mapping complete process chains in the final expansion and making the principles of the circular economy tangible.
