Poster Presentation on CO₂ Capture at ECCE/ECAB 2025
At the ECCE/ECAB 2025 conference, TU Dresden presented a poster on recent advances in solvent-based CO₂ capture. The research is a collaboration between the Chair of Energy Process Engineering (EVT) and the Chair of Chemical Process Engineering (CVT), and is conducted using TU Dresden’s pilot-scale CO₂ capture plant.
The current experimental campaign focuses on testing a novel amine blend that aims to combine high absorption efficiency with reduced regeneration energy. Following promising simulation results, the new solvent system is now being validated under realistic conditions.
The project is carried out in close cooperation with the STEEL Lab (Separation Technologies for Energy and Environment Lab) at the University of Naples Federico II. As part of this exchange, several guest researchers are contributing to the experimental work during their research stay in Dresden.
The project was represented at ECCE/ECAB 2025 by Dr. Sara Marchini (CVT, TU Dresden) and Dr. Domenico Flagiello (STEEL Lab, Federico II).
