At the latest project meeting of Green Pharming, an interdisciplinary project in cooperation between TU Dresden, Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and Nagel Ingenieurbau GmbH as well as other practical partners in the field of pharmacology, genetic engineering, plant physiology and process engineering, the focus was primarily on intensive professional exchange.
The project partners took the opportunity to discuss key issues relating to the future direction of the project. In particular, the focus was on the prospects for further development and possible next steps for the long-term establishment of the approaches developed.
Another important part of the program was a tour of the facilities currently under construction. This offered the participants a practical insight into the progress of technical implementation and enabled a direct on-site discussion on optimization potential and further development steps.
The meeting also provided valuable networking opportunities. The exchange with Dr. Silvio Weber from Miltenyi Biotec B.V. & Co. KG and Nadine Schmieder-Galfe is particularly noteworthy. The discussions provided important impetus at the interface between research and application and strengthened networking between science and industry.
Overall, the meeting underlined the importance of continuous dialog for the success of the project and laid an important foundation for the next development steps of Green Pharming. We are continuing our research with fresh inspiration and look forward to the next joint meeting.
