Review: Heat Exchanger Fouling & Cleaning Conference 2026 in Greece, June 14–18, 2026
Dipl.-Ing. Valentin Scheffel während seines Vortrags auf der Konferenz in Griechenland.
The Heat Exchanger Fouling & Cleaning Conference 2026 took place near Athens, Greece, from June 14 to 18, 2026. This international conference regularly brings together scientists and industry representatives from around the world to discuss the latest developments in heat exchangers, fouling processes, and innovative cleaning technologies.
Representing the Chair of Energy Process Engineering at TU Dresden, Dipl.-Ing. Valentin Scheffel attended the conference and presented his research on “Numerical simulations of non-uniform flow in shell-and-tube heat exchangers and their practical validation.”
As part of his presentation, he introduced the numerical simulation of a glass tube-bundle heat exchanger as well as the experimental validation of the simulation results through practical experiments. Based on the successfully validated model, investigations were conducted into the influence of non-uniform flow on the efficiency of shell-and-tube heat exchangers. The results contribute to a better understanding of real-world flow conditions in heat exchangers and provide valuable insights for their optimized design and efficient operation in industrial applications.
International conferences offer an excellent platform for professional exchange and the discussion of new research findings. We are pleased that EVT was represented in Athens this year and thank Mr. Scheffel for presenting his work.
