Review: Dresden Science Night 2026
Curiosity, exchange, and fascinating insights into energy technology: On June 26, 2026, research institutions and universities opened their doors as part of Dresden Science Night to bring science to life for the public. The Chair of Energy Process Engineering also participated with a diverse program at the Center for Energy Technology (ZET).
At our test facilities and demonstrators, visitors gained exciting insights into current research projects and modern energy research. Topics presented included heat transfer and energy conversion, combustion processes, flame analysis, and the role of various fuels in future energy systems.
We were particularly pleased by the high level of interest in our research. Numerous visitors—ranging from children and teenagers to students and those with an interest in technology—took the opportunity to ask questions and engage in conversation with our staff. This direct exchange demonstrated once again how important science communication is: research becomes particularly tangible when it is communicated in an understandable way and can be discussed together.
The Chair of Energy Process Engineering would like to extend its sincere thanks to all guests for their visit and their keen interest. Special thanks also go to our staff, whose dedication and hard work contributed significantly to the event’s success.
We are delighted to have been part of Dresden Science Night 2026 and are already looking forward to the next edition.
