Labor-Versuchsanlage zur Pyrolyse von biomassestämmigen Reststoffen
laboratory pilot plant for pyrolysis of remnants, descend from biomass
The Chair for Combustion, Heat and Mass Transfer has been operating a laboratory pyrolysis reactor since 2008.
With the help of the laboratory plant, experiments on pyrolysis behavior of biomass and remnants in the absence of oxygen can be implemented in a wide temperature range and under varying heating rates.
Numerous biomass remnants have been pyrolyized in order to determine the pyrolysis coke yield and coke production for the chemical analysis.
These cokes were analyzed depending on the preset experiment parameters with regard to their chemical and calorific properties. Biomass pyrolysis is a running project, an interim report is available, and numerous publications are in preparation.
