Internationalisation Strategy and Curriculum Design
Online Event, 30th Nov – 01st Dec 2021

and
Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology (ILK), Technische Universität Dresden (TU Dresden), Germany
Noise, air, or water pollution as well as waste management have become one of the greatest global challenges that humans ever faced. A minimisation of the impact of mankind’s actions on the environment becomes a vital issue. The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and the Technische Universität Dresden have been working together for many years to ensure resource efficiency of products, processes, sustainable systems, and materials. Now, the existing contacts are put at the service of increasing pollution awareness.
The topics pollution awareness, recycling and waste management should be incorporated into the teaching profiles of universities. Therefore, preparation of the academic staff for realisation of teaching with use of new teaching forms (e-learning) as well as openness towards internationalisation of the academic live and work is of vital issue. The ILK and the IIT Delhi are organising a mini conference on 30 November and 1 December 2021 to learn from existing experiences, to identify challenges, and to develop new approaches and solutions regarding internationalisation and curriculum design. Not only the ILK and the IIT Delhi can benefit from the results of the mini conference, but other institutions can also potentially apply them to their own internationalisation measures. The event will take place online.
The mini conference is part of the project COMPOLL: Combating environmental pollution through internationalisation of education in Germany and India.
Participants in the mini conference are representatives from Delhi and Dresden. In addition, various speakers are invited to share their experience as experts on e-learning, internationalisation measures, and combating environmental pollution.
Day 1 of the mini conference (30 November) has a focus on keynotes (e. g. E-Curriculum Design for International Education in Sustainability) and knowledge exchange.
Day 2 (1 December) is focused on workshops and concrete collaboration possibilities between Dresden and Delhi.
