Apr 24, 2023 - Apr 28, 2023; Summer School
Dresden Summer School on Function Integration at Lightweight Systems for Industry 4.0
The ILK is hosting Dresden Summer School on Function Integration at Lightweight Systems for Industry 4.0. The ILK Summer School, originally scheduled for September 2022, has been postponed to April 24-28, 2023.
Global megatrends such as climate change, mobility and resource availability require interdisciplinary and international approach. Resource neutral lightweight design with modern multifunctional materials empowered by machine learning promotes key technologies that develop important solutions for climate protection, innovation and resource efficiency. It is particularly important to involve young scientists in the international networks at an early stage in order to develop long-term scientific cooperation in Europe.
We are looking forward to exciting discussion with outstanding international students and PhD students on topics related to function-integrated fiber-reinforced composites, their properties, design, manufacturing and to testing methods, as well as to the integration of suitable sensors to determine the structural state. Both theoretical and practical sessions on general function integration and monitoring techniques for use in the lightweight structures will be offered. Because of the special concern of the summer school - integration of young scientists into international networks and development of a long-term scientific cooperation - there will be an extensive framework program in addition to the scientific one.
