Successful doctorate at the ILK: Dr.-Ing. Moritz Kuhtz defends his dissertation with distinction
The Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology (ILK) at TUD Dresden University of Technology is pleased to announce the successful doctorate of Dr.-Ing. Moritz Kuhtz. In his dissertation entitled To improving the impact behaviour of fibre-reinforced composite structures by means of tailored interface modifications, Dr.-Ing. Kuhtz dealt with innovative approaches to the optimization of high-performance materials. His research makes an important contribution to the further development of fiber-reinforced composite materials and their applications in industry.
The disputation took place in front of an examination committee made up of leading scientists from various departments. It was chaired by Prof. Dr. Chokri Cherif from the Institute of Textile Machinery and High Performance Material Technology (ITM) at TU Dresden. Prof. Dr. Maik Gude (ILK) and Prof. Dr. Thomas Pyttel from the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen acted as reviewers. In addition, Prof. Dr. Niels Modler (ILK) and Prof. Dr. Johannes Markmiller (Chair of Aircraft Technology) evaluated the dissertation and the convincing defense of the doctoral project.
The entire ILK team would like to congratulate Dr. Kuhtz on this significant scientific achievement. We look forward to his further scientific contributions and wish him every success in his future endeavors.
