The DAAD initiative "A New Passage to India" (ANPtI) aims to increase young German academics' understanding of India, bring German and Indian students, graduates, and PhD candidates into contact with each other's world of work and research, and strengthen mutual awareness of each country as a research destination. The project leaders funded within this framework meet annually to exchange experiences and project results. This year, the iHED Confluence 2024 organized from March 11th to 15th, 2024 by the DAAD India Regional Office New Delhi in cooperation with the Head Office in Bonn onsite in India and connecting DAAD Alumni, Principal Investigators, Post Docs from DAAD-ANPtI funded projects with each other and other stakeholders, highlights the achievements of the ANPtI program in a large format, since the current program phase will come to an end in 2024.
Besides the conference participation, Prof. Gude also had the opportunity to meet with Prof. Bijoya Kumar Behera from the Department of Textile and Fiber Engineering of the IIT Delhi, to discuss joint research initiatives and further collaboration. ILK extends special thanks to Prof. Behera and his colleagues for their hospitality during the meeting, for the organization of the laboratory tour, and looks forward to reconnecting at future events such as the 27th International Dresden Lightweight Engineering Symposium in June 2024 in Dresden.
