28th International Dresden Lightweight Engineering Symposium

The International Dresden Lightweight Engineering Symposium has been an annual event since 1997, bringing together leading scientists, industry representatives and political players to discuss the latest developments in lightweight engineering. Managed by Talent Saxony GmbH and hosted by the Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology (ILK) at TU Dresden and the Academic Club Lightweight Engineering (ACL), it has established itself as a significant industry meeting point. The 28th edition of the symposium will take place from 26 to 27 June 2025 under the motto ‘Lightweight Engineering – Sparking Industrial (Re)Ignition’. Discuss the latest developments in lightweight engineering with leading experts, exchange views on technological breakthroughs and actively shape the solutions of tomorrow. As an interdisciplinary platform, the symposium combines visionary ideas with concrete approaches and promotes international cooperation at the highest level. The symposium offers a platform for interdisciplinary exchange along the entire lightweight engineering value chain and promotes international cooperation to shape a sustainable and technologically superior future.
