Ductile Ceramic-Metal Composites for Energy And Environmental Technologies
MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT * MODULE DEVELOPMENT AND SYSTEM DESIGN * MULTIFUNCTIONAL COMPONENTS * MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY
Contents:
Design and joining of multifunctional ductile Ceramic-Metal-Composites with defined nano-macro structural characteristics for energy and environmental technologies. Solutions can be found by utilizing a powder metallurgical approach with the help of metal fibre reinforcements, the utilization of reduction mechanisms, and the investigation of interface phenomena.
Objectives:
- The increase of fracture toughness (ductility) of the ceramics with metal reinforcements
- Cost-efficient manufacturing processes for sheet-like product geometries
