D2 - Enertrode
Nanostructured electrode surfaces for energy management
PROCESS AND MATERIAL DEVELOPMENT OF POROUS CARBON LAYERS * FUNCTIONALISATION AND CHARACTERISATION * APPLICATIONS FOR ENERGY STORAGE AND CONVERSION
Contents:
Development of porous carbon materials for energy storage and conversion. Material properties, such as specific surface area, functionality and pore structure as well as the applied process for large area coatings are essential for the application.
Objectives:
- Deposition of porous carbon layers on various electrode surfaces
- Functionalization of materials
- Characterization of electrochemical properties
- Construction of demonstrator devices: a) supercapacitor, b) fuel cell
