COMPECO
Strengthening Mazovian Multifunctional Composite Ecosystem through a Holistic Approach and a Strategic Alliance with European Leaders
The COMP-ECO project aimed to strengthen research excellence, innovation capacity, and international networking in the field of multifunctional composites and smart structures. The project brought together leading institutions from Poland, Germany, and the Netherlands to conduct joint exploratory research, develop long-term cooperation strategies, and build sustainable research networks.
The technical work focused on multifunctional fibre-reinforced composites with integrated sensing and thermal management capabilities. Key achievements included the development of CNT-doped fibres and strips for in-situ strain sensing and embedded heating, the integration of PZT sensors for structural health monitorings. In parallel, COMP-ECO delivered advanced training for young researchers, implemented numerous staff exchanges, strengthened research management capacities, and significantly increased the international visibility and collaboration potential of the Polish par
