Kick-off ARCTIS
This monday, the kick-off-meeting for the project "Active Rotor Controlled via a Periodic Scheme – ARCTIS” took place in Munic. The Chair is involved in this project in cooperation with the Chair of Helicopter Technology at the Technical University of Munich and the Munich University of Applied Sciences. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action. It includes the detailed modelling of rotor dynamics and noise generation for shape-adaptive rotor blades with curvature mechanism.
Using modern periodic control methods, the project aims to increase rotor efficiency and thus reduce environmental impact and pollution. It therefore makes a decisive contribution to the development of a new generation of helicopter efficiency and rotor design.
