Scratch Stone Rambling Day 2018
The long-awaited hiking day was successfully completed: 12 km up and down through the beautiful rocky landscape of the nearby Saxon Switzerland, only an hour's drive away. Along mossy sandstone walls we took the ascent to the Schrammsteinen over the Lattengrund, followed the river-side narrow ridge path above the sandstone rocks to the robin guard stones. We were rewarded with fantastic views over the rocky landscape of Saxon Switzerland.
We climbed down the Rotkehlchenstiege via foot pedal caves carved into the sandstone. Arrived without injuries and after a locally brewed beer we took the ferry across the Elbe and the S-Bahn back to Dresden.
A wonderful hiking day with a fantastic team!
