History
1921 | Professor Ewald Sachsenberg (1877-1946) is appointed as associate professor and director of Germany’s first degree programs for management, factory organization, and machine tools at the TH Dresden (until 1939). |
1946 | Professor Dr. Kurt Koloc (1904-1967) is appointed as associate professor and director of degree program for general management and standardization. |
1949 | The institute for management and standardization, led by director and associate professor Dr. Kurt Koloc, is founded. |
1952 | Dipl.-Ing. Horst Berthold is appointed as director and associate professor at the institute for management and standardization, with lectureship in machine tools and hydrostatics. |
1954 | The institute for machine tools at the TH Dresden is founded and Dr.-Ing. Horst Berthold is appointed as temporary director and associate professor of the institute. |
1961 | The institute’s new building and testing lab is inducted and officially named the “Kutzbach-Bau.” |
1968 | The institute is redefined as the department for production equipment, and is integrated into the newly founded department of production engineering and machine tools. |
1980 | Dr.-Ing. D. Will is appointed as professor for automation of machine tools (hydraulics and pneumatics) within the department of production equipment. |
1991 | The institute of machine tools is re-established. |
1993 | The institute is redefined as the institute of machine tools and fluid power, with the departments of hydraulics and pneumatics as well as machine tool engineering. |
01.08.1993 | Dr.-Ing. S. Helduser is appointed as associate professor of hydraulics and pneumatics. |
01.12.1997 | The institute of fluid power, including the department of hydraulics and pneumatics, is founded and directed by Professor Dr.-Ing. S. Helduser. |
01.03.2010 | Dr.-Ing. J. Weber is appointed as associate professor in the department of fluid-mechatronic system technology (fluidtronics). |
01.07.2018 | Establishment of the Institute of Mechatronic Engineering - Maschinenlabor Dresden - under the leadership of Prof. Dr.-Ing. J. Weber |
