Hydraulics expertise in dialog: Visit of the Advanced Training Technologies GmbH
Insights into Current Research and Industrial Applications
As part of their training week, Advanced Training Technologies GmbH visited the test field of our Chair. Participants gained direct insight into ongoing research projects and engaged in discussions with the professorship’s researchers about recent developments in hydraulics. The visit focused on topics of particular relevance for industrial applications.
Research Focus Areas and Exchange in the Test Field
Dr.-Ing. Lohse guided the visiting group through the various facilities of the test field and explained the current research priorities. The close connection between scientific analysis and practical implementation was especially evident. Guests took the opportunity to ask targeted questions and share their own experiences from industry. This led to a technical dialogue that considered both scientific and industrial perspectives.
Efficiency Potential in Axial Piston Pumps
A key focus was on the investigations by research associate Roman Ivantysyn into optimizing the efficiency of axial piston pumps—a central component in many industrial hydraulic applications. The approaches presented demonstrate how targeted research can achieve efficiency improvements even in established systems. These findings offer companies concrete starting points for further developing their own equipment.
Collaboration and Outlook
The visit underscored the importance of exchange between academia and industry for advancing technical solutions. Such formats make it possible to transfer current research results into industrial applications at an early stage and to jointly identify new questions.
Special thanks go to Michael Fabianek, whose initiative and commitment initiated the exchange and made the collaboration with Advanced Training Technologies GmbH possible.
