Student Research Staff
The Institute of Fluid Power, Prof. Dr. - Ing J. Weber, works in the field of hydraulic and pneumatic drives and controls. For participation in our research work, we are permanently looking for:
Student Research Staff
We offer technically interesting tasks in different projects in the field of drive and control technology and computer simulation in mechanical engineering. We work together with industry partners in numerous research and development projects to hydraulic and pneumatic actuators and controllers. Some examples are:
- Electro-hydraulic drives in machine tools, metal forming and processing machinery
- Simulation of machines and drives (multi-body simulation, nonlinear dynamic simulation, hardware-in-the-loop simulation)
- Optimization of passenger car shock absorbers and power-assisted steering
- Calculation and visualization of valve flow (CFD)
Under the guidance of a research assistant, you can participate in the development of test facility, in experimental studies and in numerical simulation. You learn how to use modern measurement and simulation tools and deepen your knowledge in many areas of mechanical engineering. Your supervisor will guide you to engineering work.
Your assistant activity also gives you the opportunity to conduct your seminar paper and diploma thesis on the subjects you are familiar with. We also arrange for our student assistants internships in Germany, in other European countries and the U.S.
