This was the WGP Annual Congress 2021 in Dresden
This year, our chair had the pleasure to host the annual congress of the WGP, the Scientific Society for Production Engineering, live in Dresden in cooperation with the colleagues of the Chair of Forming Processes of the TU Dresden.
With 74 contributions from scientific staff from various WGP institutes across Germany, spread over two conference rooms at Messe Dresden, the lecture program was well filled over two days. The event kicked off with two keynote presentations - one by Professor Neugebauer, President of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft e.V., and the other by Christian Piechnick, CEO and co-founder of the up-and-coming Dresden-based robotics company Wandelbots. The feedback of the 90 participants on site as well as in the stream was extremely positive – everyone was enthusiastic about the organization, the Messe Dresden as venue and of course about our beautiful city Dresden.
The four-day event was rounded off by a joint visit to the Gläserne Manufaktur in Dresden. Here, among other things, the production of the ID.3 could be experienced live. Due to the Corona protection measures, the tours took place in five groups.
We would like to thank all the helpers who contributed to the success of the congress and supported us so energetically!
