Horst Berthold Study Award

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Prof. Dr. Horst Berthold the prize was awarded for the first time at 21.03.2013. It was presented by his daugther, Dr. Claudia Herzberg.

Award of the Horst-Berthold-Studienpreis 2019 to Mauritz Mälzer
The first prize winner in 2013 was Alexander Erdmann for his outstanding diploma thesis on Systematization and Modularization of the Information Processing for the Experimental Parameter Identification (Systematisierung und Modularisierung der Informationsverarbeitung für die experimentell gestützte Parameteridentifikation).
In line with the conference motto "Cyber-physical production systems become reality", the Aachen graduate Mauritz Mälzer was awarded 1000 euros in December 2019 for his outstanding diploma thesis with the topic Generation of Support Structures for Additive Manufacturing with Artificial Neural Networks.
