Research Services
Know-How
Over the years, our staff has acquired a wide range of expertise. In addition, the chair has a modern equipped machine tool test field. The test benches are used, among other things, for the processing of current research projects and further research services.
Mobile measurement technology
An important area is our mobile measurement technology. With the help of this equipment, tests can be carried out directly on machines and their components. We carry out the following steps of machine acceptance testing on cutting and/or forming machine tools (for further information please click on the individual links):
- Machine installation
- Measurement of geometric / kinematic accuracy
- Measurement of the positioning accuracy of the individual axes
- Measurement of static stiffness
- Measurement of dynamic stiffness
- Dynamic behavior of feed axes
- Thermal behavior

Data analysis for the manufacturing industry
Meaningful analysis of production data in the manufacturing industry enables robust production control, improved machine utilization, more efficient use of resources, and a more reliable description of the condition of the entire production and operating equipment.
Data is increasingly being recorded in many companies. However, the opportunities presented by recent advances in data analytics and in the field of "artificial intelligence" are often not fully exploited. This is where the work of our "Machine Data Analysis and Process Informatics" group comes in.
We have the necessary knowledge and the appropriate tools to identify the potential of your data with you and to perform targeted data analyses. In doing so, we know the problems and realities that await us on the shop floor.
We offer:
- Overview analyses for a general assessment of the data situation in the production environment ("Are we collecting the necessary data to implement predictive maintenance?")
- Detailed analyses to answer specific questions ("Are there correlations between rejects on machine 123, process parameters and material data?")
Feel free to contact us!
