Research
The research activities at the Chair of Magnetofluiddynamics, Measuring and Automation Technology are - as the name already says - subdivided in two main research directions being closely related to each other.
On the one hand, we deal with the study of the properties and flow characteristics of complex fluids under action of external fields.
Competencies
The research activities at the Chair of Magnetofluiddynamics, Measuring and Automation Technology are - as the name already says - subdivided in two main research directions being closely related to each other. On the one hand, we deal with the study of the properties and flow characteristics of complex fluids under action of external fields. Here the action of magnetic forces is one of our major research topics. The measuring technology used in conventional fluid mechanics is often not applicable to magnetically controlled fluids or for the investigation of flows under complex boundary conditions. Thus, it is clear that the second main line of our research concerns the development
of measuring technology. This development is always focused on the concrete problems resulting from our fluid mechanics or material science interests.
