Content of the course

In the course Drive Systems the student acquires basic knowledge on the interaction of drive and driven machine and the adaptation of the different speed and torque ratios via the drive train, which consists of shafts, gearboxes, converters, shiftable and non-shiftable clutches and brakes. Furthermore, the student is familiar with the basics for the selection and dimensioning of machine elements and their combination to build complete drive systems for machine, plant and vehicle construction according to the requirements.
