Bioprocessing Technology
The lecture contains basically the following topics:
- Dimensional analysis and similarity theory
- Rheology of biotechnical fluids
- Design of stirred reactors for optimal homogenisation and suspension
- Design of stirred tank reactors for optimal aeration
- Design of stirred tank reactors to ensure heat transfer
- Design of bubble columns
- Scale transfer in bioprocess technology
Workload and audience
- 2 weekly lecture hours in the winter semester (lecture and exersice)
- obligatory for bioprocess engineers
