Welcome to Robert Bosch Semiconductor Manufacturing Dresden GmbH, the new wafer fab in Dresden!
Bosch is building its factory of the future in Dresden, in the heart of Silicon Saxony. This new high-tech plant will be the first of its kind; a 5G-enabled digital building with dedicated equipment for the production of power and mixed-signal semiconductor devices.
To meet the growing demand in Internet of Things (IoT) and mobile applications, the new semiconductor fab will produce chips on 300 mm wafers tailored to the specific requirements of the connected world around Industry 4.0 and autonomous driving. With the 300-millimetre technology, higher economies of scale can be achieved compared to the established production with smaller 150- and 200-millimetre wafers. Production of power semiconductors and application-specific circuits (ASICs) will start at the end of 21/beginning of 22, following an extensive commissioning and qualification phase.
Bosch is creating up to 700 jobs in this key sector. We are already recruiting for exciting jobs, especially in the areas of semiconductor technology, software applications and product design. Interns, graduates and experienced professionals can make a difference and achieve great things with us.
