On 5.12.2025, Peter Gellerich successfully completed his disstation entitled "Analyse, Synthese und Optimierung von Verarbeitungsmaschinen im Zielkonflikt zwischen Qualität,
Ausbringung, Robustheit und Kosten" (Analysis, synthesis and optimization of processing machines in the conflict between quality, output, robustness and costs") successfully.
Prof. Majschak puts the mortarboard (academic cap) on Peter Gellerich.
The two supervisors, Prof. Jens-Peter Majschak and Prof. Alexandra Schwartz, particularly praised the interdisciplinary approach of the thesis as well as the extraordinarily thorough and systematic approach.
Together with the other members of the doctoral committee chaired by Prof. Dr. Kristin Paetzold-Byhain, they awarded the doctorate magna cum laude (very good).
