Smart Girls in the Lab!

On this year's Girls' Day, 12 girls took the opportunity visit our Chair of Processing Machines/ Processing Technology at TU Dresden. The workshop "Sustainable food production and packaging" provided insight into current research topics, but also get involved themselves. The workshop kicked off with an exciting presentation that showed how closely food packaging and sustainability are linked and the innovative approaches we are researching at our Chair.

Then it was time to do some research of their own!

The students took on the challenge of finding out which parameters can be used to shape different cardboard blanks into small cups.

The young researchers were creative and keen to experiment. At the end, they proudly presented their results to the group and showed how much passion and curiosity they had.
